Rant: It has been my observation that people who fetishize makes and models of guns can't shoot. Skill is skill. Back when I was running the VP, the HK dorks would roll in looking for validation. Now that I am running a 1911 again, we are seeing the same with that crowd. 

People don't care, and won't remember, what you shoot. But they will always remember how well you shot. Conversely, dudes who can't shoot will always talk up how great X or Y gun is. Which just so happens to be the gun they own. 

"You" want to talk to me about how great "Your" gun is? Even if it's the same gun I am carrying? Until you can prove to me you have appreciable skill, you're invisible and your opinions mean zero to me. 

Literally…zero.
